Woodrow Wilson Corridor Interchange Projects
The Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project is replacing almost 12 percent of Interstate 95 (the Capital Beltway) with two new wider bridges, four new interchanges and Beltway improvements throughout its 7.5 mile corridor. These improvements are critically needed, as today's 200,000 daily trips across the bridge are projected to grow to 300,000 by 2010.
Midasco was involved with every interchange in this 2.4 billion dollar project. Contracts included signing, lighting, traffic signals, intelligent transportation systems and a lane control system. This was a complex series of projects requiring intensive coordination with a variety of general contractors.
